Introduction (Route Information)

  • The route is from the NTU Clifton Campus (Stop CL97) on College Drive, via the main plaza to the Student Services Centre at the north of the campus.
    The approximate distance is about 90m and should take about 2 minutes.
    There are easy slopes on the route with a short steep slope to one section.
    Surface materials include concrete slab paving, stone tiles and block paving.
    The route is within a pedestrian only zone within the campus.

Bus Stop to Student Services Centre

  • With your back to the bus stop and the NTSU building to your left, proceed toward the plaza, keeping to the right (photographs 1 to 2)
  • There is a hedge on your right and a couple of lamp posts.
  • The path is level but has a camber from right to left (photograph 3).
  • The paving is uneven with red block paving and occasional diagonal grey concrete slab bands.
  • After approximately 40m, at the end of the hedge, there is a sign and campus map set back on the right (photograph 5).
  • Turn right to go up the path on the right (photograph 6).
  • The paving changes to grey block paving.
  • There is an easy slope up.
  • There is a lawn on the right and a low wall and hedge on the left (photograph 7).
  • The path is wide.
  • Cross over to the left and follow the wall and hedge on the left up the slope until the path narrows and the hedge finishes (approximately 20m) (photographs 8 to 9).
  • At the end of the wall and hedge, turn left towards the building by the picnic benches.
  • The path is made of concrete slabs, a bit uneven and initially slightly steep but soon becoming easy (photographs 9 to 10).
  • The path narrows to 180cm (photograph 11).
  • Enter the building, The Student Services Centre, by the automatic door which is push pad controlled and opens towards you (photograph 12).
  • Turn right and proceed through a second door (photograph 11) which is also push pad controlled and opens away from you.
  • The Student Services reception is on the ground floor, ahead and to the left as you enter (photograph 12).
