Getting Here (City Campus)

  • By Road View
    • The City Campus is located north west of the city centre of Nottingham.
      The M1 passes close to the west of the city, the A42 / M42 link to the south-west of the city, and the A1(M) to the east of the city.
      When using the M1 from the north, exit at Junction 26 and take the A610 Nuthall Road / Alfreton Road into the city.
      When using the M1 from the south, use Junction 24 and follow the A453 into the city centre.
    • University car parks on the City Campus are not open to visitors, but there are a number of public car parks nearby.
      The following website gives details on car parking within Nottingham - www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/carparks.
      Parking for people with disabilities will be accommodated on the campus if possible.
      The Park and Ride tram service with sites around Nottingham is particularly convenient and popular with visitors.
  • By Bus View
    • Bus route Go2 Uni 4 links the University City and Clifton Campuses. The bus terminates on Burton Street (Stop T7).
      Buses stop outside the Newton Building on South Sherwood Street at NTU City Campus (Stop G1) - Centrelink, L14, Rainbow one, two and night bus N4.
      Buses stop outside the Newton Building on South Sherwood Street at NTU City Campus (Stop G2) - 28, 30, 31, 35, 36, L2, L5, L7, L10 and night bus N28.
  • By Train View
    • Nottingham station is located approximately one mile from our City Campus, which can then be accessed on foot, by tram or by bus.
      Nottingham station has step free access to the station. There are lifts to platforms from station front.
      Wheelchairs are available and there are portable ramps available to access trains.
  • By Tram View
    • The Nottingham Express Transit (NET) tram stops on Goldsmith Street outside the Chaucer building and the Boots Library, providing a link to Nottingham railway station and the Broadmarsh Bus Station redevelopment.
      There are several park and ride stops along the route with parking when visiting the University.
      The Phoenix Park's park and ride site is close to Junction 26 of the M1, and the Forest Park's park and ride site is near to the city centre.
      The trams network is fully accessible with fully accessible tram stop platforms, low floor access to trams, high colour contrast floor finishes, electronic signs and audible announcements, dedicated wheelchair spaces and Blue Badge parking at the park and ride sites on the tram network.
