Ticketing

  • Ticket Counter / Machines View
    • The ticket counter surveyed is located ahead and to the right as you enter the venue.

Shop

Eating and Drinking (Whisky Lounge and Café)

    • The Whisky Lounge and Café is located next to the shop.

    • This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered, a bar where drinks can be ordered, colleagues who can provide assistance with ordering and numerous seating options.
    • Full table service is available on request only.
    • Menus are displayed on the counter.
    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.

    • The counter is located on the right of the lounge and café.

  • Seating Area View

    • Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests, armchairs, sofas and high stools.

Lift

  • The lift surveyed is located past the café and shop, on the right side.
  • The journey time to this lift from the entrance is approximately 5 minutes.

  • The lower level and ground floor are accessed by this lift.
  • All of the external lift controls are at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

Stairs

  • The stairs surveyed are located past the café and shop, on the right side.
  • The lower level and ground floor can be accessed by these stairs.
  • There are 18 steps between floors which are marked and have handrails on both sides.

Toilet with Adaptations (Left Hand Transfer)

    • The toilet surveyed is located on the lower level.
    • The most accessible route to the toilet has step-free level access and a platform lift.

    • There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
    • The door opens outwards.

Exit (Auditorium into the Heritage Exhibition)

Exhibition Space (The Heritage Exhibition)

  • Guided tours are available.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of the tour.

  • Areas with stepped access only can be experienced by visitors via a video on tablet or mobile phone.
  • Wayfinding signage is provided throughout the tour.

Access To (Distillery)

  • The distillery is located on the lower level of the venue. Wheelchair users and those with limited mobility, can access the distillery via the front venue entrance, re-joining the tour via the Yeast House door leading into the Still House.
  • The journey time from the main entrance to the Yeast House entrance is approximately 2 minutes.
  • The most accessible route has a ramp or slope, manual doors and doors permanently held open.
  • There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
  • The width of the opening is 90cm.
  • For tours, the guide will open all doors.

Area (Distillery)

  • The distillery is located on the lower level of the venue.
  • There is written text signage on or near the door.
  • There is step-free level access into this area.
  • There is a single manual door which opens towards you.
  • The width of the opening is 90cm.
  • For tours, the guide will open all doors.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
  • Access throughout the area may include manual doors and doors permanently held open.

Access To (Warehouse)

  • The Warehouse section of the tour requires visitors to go back towards the entrance and turn right.

  • The most accessible route has a ramp or slope and manual gates.
  • There is step-free access via slope into this area.
  • There are double manual doors which opens towards you.
  • One of the doors was locked at the time of the survey.

  • For tours, the guide will open this door.

Area (Warehouse)

  • The Warehouse is located across from the main venue.

  • There is step-free level access into this area.
  • Facilities available in this area include: seating and a video presentation.

Room (Tasting Room)

  • The room is located next to The Warehouse.
