Introduction

  • Stocks Court contains self-catered student accommodation, and is divided into two blocks: the East and West Blocks. The West Block contains a 2 bedroom staff flat, as well as 13 student study bedrooms (located within 3 flats), sharing a kitchen, toilet and bathroom.
    Access to the accommodation is via the main entrance off Globe Road, through a foyer area containing an accessible toilet, and out through an exit into a courtyard area, or via direct access from Stayners Road. The blocks containing student accommodation are accessed from the courtyard.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • Globe Road is located just off the Mile End Road / A11. This road links the City of London with the A12. The A12 then links to the North Circular Road (and the A11 off that) and the M25.
    • Stocks Court does not have any parking. On street parking on Globe Road is available.
  • By Bus View
    • Bus 309 (Canning Town - Bethnal Green) stops on Globe Road outside Stocks Court. There are also bus stops on the Mile End Road, just outside Stepney Green Tube Station, which are served by buses 25 (Oxford Circus - Ilford), 205 (Paddington Station - Bow Church DLR Station) and N205 (Paddington - Leyton).
  • By Train View
    • The nearest railway stations are Liverpool Street Station and Fenchurch Street Station. However, all of the London Terminal stations are within reach of the campus using public transport.
  • By Underground View
    • Stocks Court is approximately 90 metres from Stepney Green underground station (on the Hammersmith and City and District lines).

Building Parking

  • The building does not have its own dedicated parking.
  • Public Car Parks View
    • There is not a car park for public use within 200m (approx).
  • On Street Parking View
    • Clearly signed and / or standard marked parking bays are available.
    • The dimensions of the standard marked parking bays are 180cm x 470cm (5ft 11in x 15ft 5in).
    • The on street standard parking bay(s) is/are located on on Stayners Road and Globe Road.
  • Drop Off Point View
    • There is not a designated drop off point.
  • Comments View
    • There is limited parking at the residence located on the Stayners Road side of the building, on request to Residential Services and Support (see Useful Information for contact details).
    • Some of the standard parking bays on Globe Road are Pay and Display between 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday, maximum stay 4 hours.
    • Others require a Residents Permit between 08:30 and 17:30 Monday to Friday.
    • There is a loading bay outside the front of the building (shown in photograph 3), which could be used as a drop off point.

  • There is a shallow step, not well marked, down into the courtyard just beyond the exit (shown in photograph 2).
