Overview

Toilet and Changing Facilities

  • There are 3 toilets with adaptations.

Parking for Blue Badge holders here is free of charge and without a time limit. The bays do not have hatched zones, and there is a steep ramp on the dropped kerb on the route from the bays to the main entrance. The dimensions of the bays are 240cm x 652cm.

Pool

  • This is an indoor swimming pool with waterslides.
  • The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: all areas around the poolside (the poolside has a slight ramp running down to the pool in all areas).
  • The following areas have stepped access: the flume.
  • Access throughout this area may include slippery surfaces and narrow walkways.
  • The flooring is shiny.
  • There is not an emergency alarm at poolside.
  • Lighting levels vary due to the use of large glazed walls.
  • Access into the water is via a ramp, a ladder or steps.
  • The ramp has no handrails.
  • There are 4 steps with a central handrail.
  • The handrail is easy to grip.
  • The handrail covers the flight of the steps throughout its length.
  • The step markings are not clearly visible.
  • The pool is staffed at all times.
  • The following adaptations are available for disabled people: hydraulic hoist, pool pod and submersible wheelchair.
