- Visitors enter a 120cm diameter turning area and close the gate before continuing into the park.
- From the outside, the gate latch has to be reached through a narrow gap between the gate and the gate post.
- There is a similar gate further along Briset Road, opposite Kingsholm Gardens, nearer to the playground.
- That gate has a smaller turning area and a 60cm opening.
- It is not accessible to wheelchair users or larger pushchairs.
- Further gates of this design are located within the park, from the main area to the cycle area at the rear.
