Access Guide
Location of Room(s)
- Kensington Metal is located at the front of the Darwin Building, on level 2.
- There is step free access from the Darwin Building main entrance to Kensington Metal.

- There is an entrance accessed from the front of the building to access the lower level of Metal. To get to the higher level of Metal there is another entrance at the rear of the building that takes you through the Wood and CNC room to get to Metal.
Teaching/Seminar Room(s)
- Signage for the room(s) is not available in upper and lower case lettering that is clearly visible on or near the door.
- The corridor outside the room(s) is sufficiently wide enough (150cm+) to allow wheelchair users to pass.
- There is step free access into the room(s) from the corridor.
- The door opening width(s) is/are 75cm+ for the room(s).
- The door(s) for the room(s) is/are not push pad activated.
- There is not a hearing assistance system for the room(s).
- There is not a visual fire alarm beacon in the room(s).
- There is fixed furniture within the room(s).
- A height adjustable table/bench is not available.
- There are no chairs with armrests on both sides within the room(s).
- The room does have an unobstructed minimum turning space of 150cm x 150cm.
- The upper level of the Metal room doesn't have a door, there is a corridor leading from CNC to Metal.
There is a door on the lower level of Metal that can be accessed from the front building lifts.
There are 4 steps in the Metal room to get from the lower level to the higher level. The steps are unmarked and have a height of 17cm and a depth of 26cm. There are handrails to the left and the height is between 90-100cm.
