- Founder's West is a wing in a very large building. It has 6 floors.
- There is 1 lift and 2 main staircases within this wing of the building.
- The floors are signed as the Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor, Third Floor, Fourth Floor and the Fifth Floor.
- There is internal step-free access to the Picture Gallery in the north end of Founder's West on the first floor.
There is internal step-free access to the Founder's Main Lecture Theatre in Founder's South on the ground floor.

Getting Inside
- The approach to the building is step-free and level.
- Founder's West has three external entrances.
The most accessible entrance provides step-free access via a steep ramp or three steps into the ground floor.
Two entrances provide stepped access - one into the ground floor and one into the first floor. - The entrances are not signed.
- Access from the South and North Quads into Founder's West includes steps at some entrances and slight ramps at others, as shown in the photographs.
Getting Around
- There is step-free level access throughout most of the building via a lift.
- There is a steep slope leading to commercial services on the ground floor.
- There is a steep slope leading to the launderette on the ground floor.
- There is a steep ramp at the door leading from Founder's West to the North Quad.
There is a steep slope leading from Founder's West to the link corridor to Founder's East. - Floor surfaces along circulation routes are carpeted and patterned in some areas, and hard and smooth in some areas.
- There are no resting/seating areas in circulation and lobby areas.
