  • The ramp has a slight gradient, no handrails and is poorly marked and edged by steps.
  • At the top of the steps/ramp head straight bearing slightly to the left to pass between the Emily Wilding Davison Building and Windsor Building.
  • The path here has an even and level stone slab surface.

  • Continue across the Bedford Access Road towards the Arts Building.
  • There is a level tarmac zebra crossing with no tactile paving on either side. Traffic is very light and uncontrolled. The Moore Building is accessed by using this crossing to cross to the opposite side of the road to the Arts Building.
  • Upon reaching the far side of the crossing, continue along the side of the Arts Building. The surface here is tarmac and level.
  • Follow the path and after approximately 30m there is a path leading to the McCrea Building on the right.
  • On the opposite side of the road to your left is the Moore Building, there is a zebra crossing across the road, with tactile level kerbs on either side of the road.
  • The surface here is tarmac.

From the Horton Building to the Student Union

  • There is a path to the right leading to the Horton Building, which is blocked by bollards which narrows the path to 169cm minimum width., shown in the photographs.
  • Continue along the path to the side of the Horton Building.
  • Here the surface becomes tarmac.
  • Approximately 20m beyond the Horton Building, the path becomes a steep slope that extends away from you.
  • Continue down the path for 10m. To the left there is a zebra crossing leading to the Boilerhouse with tactile paving on both sides of the crossing. Opposite here there is a path that leads to the Tolansky Laboratory rear right entrance. Continue across the Wilson Laboratory Access Entrance. On the far side are bollards with a width of 186cm.
  • This crossing is level tarmac with tactile paving and dropped kerbs on both sides. Traffic is very light and uncontrolled.
  • Beyond the crossing, the path becomes an uneven tarmac slight slope down. After approximately 20m from the crossing there is a zebra crossing on the left side with tactile paving on both sides of the crossing that leads to the International Building main entrance.
  • Past the crossing to the International building, bear right along a steep slope towards the Student Union. The surface here is tarmac and there is a handrail on the right. At the bottom of the slope, continue straight towards the Student Union main entrance. There are pillars holding up a canopy which obstruct the path.
