Eating and Drinking

  • Location and Access View
    • The Café is located to the front of the visitor centre.
    • The most accessible route has a slight ramp or slope.
    • There is step-free level access into this area.
    • There is a single manual door with a high visual contrast.

  • Service View
    • This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered and staff who can provide assistance with ordering.
    • Menus are wall-mounted, available on a board and displayed on the counter.
    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
    • The following are available: drinking straws.
    • There is a clearly signed fixed hearing assistance system.
    • The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
  • Order and Payment View
    • The service counter was surveyed.
    • The counter is located adjacent to the café entrance.

Seating Area (Outdoor)

    • There are 10 steps with no handrails.
    • The steps are clearly marked.
    • The height of the steps is not between 15cm and 18cm.
    • The height of the highest step is 12cm.
    • The depth of the steps is between 30cm and 45cm.
  • Seating Area View
    • Some of the seating area is covered.
    • The following areas have stepped access: the uncovered seating closest to the visitor centre.
    • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
