    • The following areas have step-free access via slopes: the trail and access to the Vardre viewpoint.
    • The undulating earth/ grass surface isn’t recommended for prams and wheelchairs.
    • The track to the Vardre viewpoint is compacted slate and has a slight slope.

Grey Heron Trail and Deep Lagoon Viewpoints

    • Path or trail surfaces consist of: grass, gravel and uncompacted earth (muddy).
    • The majority of the unsurfaced footpaths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
    • Paths or trails have some sections with potential obstacles such as: uneven surfaces and gates.
    • There is wayfinding signage in this area.
    • There are some seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
    • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
    • The following areas have step-free access via slopes: exit from the reserve to the car park.
    • This unsurfaced trail can be muddy and uneven and there may be puddles.
    • Most of the trail is flat, but there is a slight slope with gravel as you exit the reserve and return to the car park.
    • There’s a one-way turnstile and gate to exit the Grey Heron Trail.
    • Visitors should ask for the access code at the visitor hub before setting off.
    • The gate has an opening width of 100cm.
    • The keypad to enter the access code on the gate is at a height of 110cm.

Benarth Hide
