    • Some chairs are fixed.
    • There is no (or very little) background noise in this area.

Access To (The Skytower)

  • The Skytower is a multi-level viewing platform.
  • The most accessible route has slight ramps or slopes and uneven surfaces.

  • The ramp gradient varies between slight and steep.
  • There are several viewing platforms, the upper levels are accessed by steps.

Outdoor Spaces (Lower Trail - Bearded Tit Platform, Causeway Hide and Lower Hide)

  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
  • The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the Grisedale Hide and the Tim Jackson Hide.
  • There are seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
  • The paths have gates, narrow gaps and uneven surfaces.
  • There are two entrances into The Causeway Hide. The most accessible entrance door opens inwards and has an opening width of 86cm. There are lowered viewing windows.
    There are two entrances into The Lower Hide. The most accessible entrance door on the left side opens inwards and has an opening width of 100cm. There are lowered viewing windows.

Parking (Coastal Trail)

    • The car park is located a distance away from the main visitor centre, reachable by road.
    • The car park is open air/surface.
    • The car park surface consists of unsurfaced areas.
    • The height of the restriction barrier is 200cm.
    • There are no designated Blue Badge parking bays available.

    • Parking is free for all users.
    • Donations are accepted.

  • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
  • The following areas have step-free access via ramps or slopes: the Allen Hide and the Eric Morecambe Hide.
  • There are some seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
  • The paths have gates and uneven surfaces.
  • There is a steep ramp to access The Allen Hide. The entrance door opens inwards and has an opening width of 87cm. There are lowered viewing windows.

  • Playground View
    • The Coastal Trail is separate from the main reserve and has its own car park. It is recommended to drive to this car park, as the pedestrian route is along a road with no pavement.
