Getting Help and Assistance

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • From London, take the A3 and follow the brown venue signs to Sandown Park. Exit A3 on to the A307 and continue to follow the brown venue signs. Alternatively, from the M25, exit at Junction 10 and follow the A3 towards London then exit onto the A307 and follow the brown venue signs. 
      If using a Sat Nav, please enter 'Portsmouth Road' rather than the Sandown Park postcode - this will bring you to the main car park which is just off the A307 (Esher High Street) and is directly in front of the Main Entrance.
    • Parking is free in the centre of the racecourse, which you can reach from the More Lane entrance. Please note that the course will be shut for approximately 10 minutes before and after each race as there will be horses on the course. The entrance/exit will otherwise be open/re-opened. Alternatively, for £5 you can park in the main car park off the Portsmouth Road.
      Coach parking is free - just follow the Sandown Park signposts on all approach routes and park in the area off the Portsmouth Road.
      There are allocated Blue Badge parking spaces in the main Portsmouth Road car park, which is free of charge to all Blue Badge holders. The parking is very close to the Main Entrance and the Grandstand.
  • By Bus View
    • There is a bus stop within 150 metres of the venue.
    • There are a number of bus stops located along Portsmouth Road.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest Railway Station is Esher Station .
    • Esher station is just a 10 minute flat walk from the Main Entrance and can be reached by crossing the centre of the course on racedays (please note that the course will be shut for approximately 10 minutes before and after each race as there will be horses on the course) or by the complimentary raceday minibus service.
      On a non-raceday, visitors should turn left out of the station onto Station Road and then right at the T- junction to join the A307 Portsmouth Road. The entrance to Sandown Park is on the right hand side.

Raceday Parking

Main Grandstand Entrance and Foyer

Access from the Main Grandstand

  • From the Grandstand first floor there are double, heavy doors, 160cm wide, which open outwards to access the Paddock Terrace (photograph 1). These doors have a lip on the threshold (photograph 2).
  • On the terrace, turn left and access the lowered area with the artificial grass surface using the ramp, which is 113cm wide with a slight gradient and handrails both sides (photograph 3), or the deep, well marked step with handrails both sides (photograph 4).
  • The Paddock Suite can be accessed from here.

Outside Access (Paddock View Suite Entrance)

  • Entrance View
    • This information is for the entrance located at the far end of the Grandstand terrace area.
