About City Health Campus

City Hospital A&E (also known as the Emergency Department) closed on 10 November. Patients should use Midland Metropolitan University Hospital A&E.

City Health Campus has three key facilities, covering a range of outpatient, day case surgery and diagnostic services.

To deliver better care, we will be closing some sections of the hospital and only keeping the best of the existing buildings.

What services are available

Birmingham Treatment Centre at City Health Campus offers outpatient and short stay surgery.

It will also keep its chemotherapy unit and major imaging services will be based there, as well as key diagnostic functions for common services like respiratory illnesses.

The Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre (BMEC) will stay, providing not just specialist care but regional expertise for complex conditions.
