Easy Access Walk

  • The walk is approximately 1.1km long.
  • The route runs along the west shore of the Mere in a northerly direction.
  • The route is linear and requires the user to come back the same way as there is no accessible path around the entirety of the Mere.
  • Maps and information boards are available at regular intervals.
  • An undulating surface with steep slopes is located between The Boathouse and the boat ramp leading to the waters edge.
  • The surface of the pathways here is compacted with fine loose chippings on top, with an area of tarmacked shingle in front of The Boathouse.
  • The path has slight slopes and is mostly 200cm wide with a minimum width of 80cm.
  • Bench seating is located at regular intervals along the walk.
  • There may be roots and stones located on the paths.

Access To (The Boathouse)

  • The most accessible route has step-free level access.
