Access View
- The waste disposal site entrance is located in Crowpiece Lane.
- The entrance does not have a height restriction barrier.
- There is not a pedestrian entrance available.
- There is step free access throughout the site.
- The waste disposal site surface is tarmac.
- Pedestrian walkways are available.
- The pedestrian walkways are located at the front of the recycling bins and containers on the upper and lower level of the recycling centre (as seen in photographs 5, 6 and 7).
- The pedestrian walkways are clearly marked.
- Pedestrian crossings are not available.
- Access to the waste disposal containers is; step free and by steps.
Containers with Steps View
- The step(s) is/are clearly marked at some of the waste disposal containers.
- The step(s) has/have no handrail(s) at any of the waste disposal containers.
Staff Assistance View
- There is a staff office on site.
- The staff office is located on the upper level of the recycling centre to the left as shown in photograph 9.
- There is stepped access into the staff office.
- A member of staff is available to provide assistance.
- A member of staff trained in BSL skills is not normally on duty.
- Staff receive disability awareness/equality training.
- Photographs 7 and 10 show a step/kerb in front of the recycling container. The general public are not permitted access to the staff office. For pedestrians to use the site a waste permit (E Permit) is required. This can be issued from the council office.
