Getting To The Hospital

By Road
View
- St George's Hospital is located on Blackshaw Road and can be accessed by the A24.
Head north-east on High Street Colliers Wood/A24 towards Longley Road.
Continue to follow A24 for 0.1 miles.
Turn left onto Blackshaw Road and St George's Hospital is located on the right. - St George's Hospital has two visitors car park and multiple Blue Badge bays located at main entrances.
- St George's Hospital is located on Blackshaw Road and can be accessed by the A24.

By Bus
View
- Bus routes 493 and G1 enter the grounds of St George's Hospital.
Several other bus routes serve roads within a short walk of the hospital.
Routes 44, 77, 270, N44 stop on Garratt Lane, routes 57, 131. 219, and N155 stop on Tooting High Street, and routes 155, 264 and 280 stop on Blackshaw Road. Low-floor, wheelchair accessible buses run on all routes. - There is an onsite bus stop.
- Onsite bus stops are located on the main hospital road.
- Bus routes 493 and G1 enter the grounds of St George's Hospital.

Getting Help and Assistance
- There is a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at the hospital.
- The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is located on the ground floor of the Grosvenor Wing.

- There are volunteers available for help and assistance at the hospital.
- Volunteers can be found in the main corridor of all wings.
- Documents are available in an alternative format and can be provided to include: Braille on request, large print on request, Makaton on request and different languages on request.
- There is not an assistance dog toilet or toileting area on the hospital site.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available on request.
- BSL interpreters can be provided on request.
- Language interpreters can be provided on request.
- A mobility scooter charging point is available at the hospital.
- The mobility scooter charging point is located at the Atkinson Morley Wing main reception.
- Mobility aids are available to help patients move around and include; wheelchairs.
- To obtain mobility aids please contact the main receptions in each wing.

Access to the Hospital

- Disabled users are able to get a lift from this car park to the Atkinson Morley Wing.
- At the time of survey (April 2023) Car Park 2 was permanently closed for visitors.
Grosvenor Wing
- Small areas of outdoor bench seating are located outside the Grosvenor Wing and along the access road.
- There are slopes, some of them steep, between the green space located along the access road, and the green space located directly in front of the main entrance.
- Both can be accessed via slight slopes from the access road path.
- The pathways are made up of mainly tarmac with some areas of slate and concrete tiles that are uneven in places.
Atkinson Morley Wing
- Small areas of outdoor bench seating are located outside the Atkinson Morley Wing main entrance leading down to Car Park 2.
- At the upper level there is bench seating, and a grassed area on a steep slope that leads down to Car Park 2.
- The pathways are made up of mainly tarmac and are uneven in places.
Water Garden
- The entrance to this garden is located off the corridor between Grosvenor Wing and St James Wing.
- They are 150cm wide, double doors that open away from you.
- Bench seating is located around the pathways in the garden.
- There is also a raised platform accessed by a slight slope or 2 medium steps.
- The pathways are made up of concrete flagstones with some areas of very uneven timber.
