North Bay, North Slipway
- This slipway gives access to the north side of the north bay only, there is no access to the south bay from this slipway.
- The North Bay, North Slipway is located on the corner of South Esplanade and La Valette,.
- The access width of the slipway is 392cm.
- The slipway is cobbled
- The cobbles create uneven surfaces.
- There is a steep ramp all the way down the slipway.
- The ramp has handrails (on the right going up) for the first 15m.
- After this point there are no handrails and there is a risk of a steep drop (approximately 3m) to the beach below.
- There is a 150 by 150cm turning space at the top of the ramp.
- There is drifted seaweed on the slipway which may create a slip/trip hazard.
- There is a lifebelt at the top of this slipway.
- The height of the lifebelt is 142cm.
North Bay, South Slipway
- This slipway gives access to the south side of the north bay only, there is no access to the south bay from this slipway.
- The North Bay, South Slipway is located on La Valette, to the north of Octopus restaurant.
- The access width of the slipway is 478cm.
- The top of the slipway is tarmac.
- About 4m along the slipway surface is cobbled.
- The cobbles create uneven surfaces.
- There is a steep ramp running all the way down the slipway.
- The ramp does not have handrails.
- There is a 150cm by 150cm turning space at the top of the ramp.
- There is a risk of falling off of the ramp to the Beach below (approximately 2m drop).
- There are loose pebbles washed up onto the slipway, causing uneven surfaces and a trip hazard.
- There is drifted seaweed on the slipway which may create a slip/trip hazard.
- Approximately 10m before the slipway reaches the Beach, there is a fresh water overflow pipe.
- This pipe releases fresh water onto the slipway.
- The last 10m of the slipway are slightly submerged by this water. This creates a slip hazard.
- The slipway leads directly to the Beach.
- At low tide there is a very steep slope at the end of the slipway, just before the Beach.
- There is a lifebelt at the top of this slipway.

South Bay, South Slipway
- The South Bay, South Slipway is located on La Vallette, to the south of Octopus Restaurant.
- This slipway gives access to the south bay only, there is no access to the north bay from this slipway.

- The top of the slipway is tarmac.
- About 2m along the slipway the surface is cobbled.
- The cobbles create uneven surfaces.
- There is a steep ramp running all the way down the slipway.
- The ramp does not have handrails.
- There is a 150 by 150cm turning space at the top of the ramp.
- There is a risk of falling off of the ramp to the Beach below (approximately 4m drop).
- The slipway leads directly to the Beach.
- At low tide, the slipway ends abruptly with a 1m drop to the Beach below.
- There are 6 steps to the right (going Up).
- The steps are deep (24cm).
- The steps are not clearly marked.
- The steps do not have a handrail.
Havelet Bay North Beach
- The south side of the North Beach consists of large rocks and pebbles. (Photographs 1 to 5).
- The rocks and pebbles make the beach very uneven.
- There is drifted seaweed in places, that may cause a trip hazard.
- There is a steep slope leading from the headland to the sea.
- The north side of the North Beach consists of sand. (Photographs 6 to 12)
- There is a slight slope running from the headland to the sea.
- The sand is firm and wet, even at low tide.
- There is a risk of a wheelchair user or mobility aid user having their wheelchair or mobility aid sink into the sand.
- There are streams running along the Beach that cause uneven surfaces (approximately 3cm deep).
- There are large rocks and stones that could create a trip hazard.
- There is drifted seaweed that could create a trip hazard.
Havelet Bay South Beach
- The South Beach consists of rocks and large pebbles.
- The rocks and pebbles make the Beach extremely uneven.
- There is some drifted seaweed causing uneven surfaces and trip hazards.
- There is a steep slope from the headland to the sea.
