Route Information
- The route is a loop starting and finishing near to the Forest Parish Church.
- The route passes through the Forest Parish in Guernsey, going through traditional Guernsey villages.
- The majority of the route runs along Ruette Tranquilles.
- There is no foot paths along the Ruette Tranquilles.
- The speed limit on the Ruette Tranquilles is 15mph with priority given to walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
- There is parking available next to the German Occupation Museum.
- The walks takes approximately 2 hours to 2 and half hours.

Forest Parish Church - Rue Des Fontenelles
- The Route begins just before the Forest Parish Church.
- There is a footpath leading towards the Forest Parish Church.
- Follow the footpath for appropriately 550m.
- Follow the path as it bears left, the route becomes a Ruettes Tranquilles.
- There is no footpath along the Ruettes Tranquilles.
- The route follows an easy slope downwards.
- The route passes Les Houards Well and The German Occupation Museum, which are located on your right.
- The route follow the Ruettes Tranquilles.
- There are easy and moderate slopes located along the Ruettes Tranquilles.
- The route passes through Le Variouf.
- The Ruettes Tranquilles merges with another Ruettes Tranquilles called Rue Des Fontenelles.
Rue Des Fontenelles - La Roberge
- This section of the route is approximately 1.7km.
- There is a steep slope leading up Rue Des Fontenelles.
- Rue Des Fontenelles passes through traditional Guernsey.
- There is a crossroads in the village.
- At the cross road follow Rue Des Fontenelles as it bears left.
- There is a steep slope on this section of the road.
- The road passess through farmland with easy and moderate slopes along the road.
- The Rue Des Fontenelles meets with Le Gouffre.
- Take a left turn and then follow the Rue Du Gouffre and take the first right turn.
- Follow the Ruette Tranquilles and then take the first left turn onto the Ruette Tranquilles called La Roberge.
- Further along the Rue Du Gouffre is the Le Gouffre Cafe and Restaurant.

La Roberge - Rue De La Vrangue
- This section of the route is approximately 1.6km.
- La Roberge is a Ruette Tranquilles.
- There are easy and moderate slopes along the road.
- Follow La Roberge for 550m where it then merges with Le Bigard.
- Along the route is passes farmland, private residences and a blue plaque dedicated to Denys Corbet who was a local poet and painter.
- There is a steep slope leading down Le Bigard.
- Follow Le Bigard for 230m and then take the first right turn and follow the path until it reaches Rue de L'Epinel.
- Follow Rue de L'Epinel for 230m and then take the right turn onto the Ruette Tranquilles and then take the first right turn onto Rue De La Vrangue.
Rue De La Vrangue - Rue Des Fenetres
- This section of the route is approximately 450m.
- Rue De La Vrangue is a Ruette Tranquilles.
- There are easy slopes located along the route.
- Follow the Due De La Vrangue for 330m until it reaches Le Gouffre.
- Turn left onto Le Gouffre and then take the first left onto Rue De Fenetres.
- On the corner of Rue De La Vrangue and Le Gouffre there is the Esperanza which has been restored by the National Trust of Guernsey.
Rue Des Fenetres - Forest Church
- This section of the route is approximately 900m.
- Rue Des Fenetres is a Ruette Tranquilles.
- There are easy and moderate slopes along the road.
- Follow the road for 550m.
- At the corner of the road there is public footpath.
- The footpath is unsurfaced and narrow in places.
- The footpath has easy and moderate slopes along it.
- The path is uneven in places.
- Follow the footpath for 50m where is rejoins the Ruette Tranquilles.
- There is a moderate slope leading up the Ruette Tranquilles.
- The Ruette Tranquilles leads back to Forest Parish Church, passing Les Houards Well and The German Occupation Museum.
