Access Guide
Introduction
- The Millennium Walk is a circular walk around the St Saviour's Reservoir, starting and finishing at Rue des Annevilles Car Park.
A section of the walk, leading to the Learning Area, has been surfaced to make it more accessible to wheelchair users.
The majority of the paths in the rest of the walk are not surfaced.
There are a number of steep and very steep slopes along the South and East Reservoir Paths, and steps in the final section of the walk, across the dam.
These areas of the route may not be suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues.
The walk takes approximately 1 hour.

- There is not a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue.

Learning Area
- The Learning Area is an open space along the walk with seating, and a view of the reservoir.
- The seating is cut logs.
- Seating height varies from 40cm to 50cm.
- The ground of the learning area is on a steep slope.
- The ground surface is compacted earth.
West Reservoir Path
- The West Reservoir Path is approximately 240m.
- The route continues from the Learning Area along the west shore of the reservoir in a southerly direction.
- Beyond the Learning Area, the paths are unsurfaced and uneven.
- There may be roots and stones located on the paths.
- There are slight and steep slopes.
South Reservoir Path
- The South Reservoir Path is approximately 750m.
- The surface of the paths are uneven.
- There may be roots and stones located on the paths.
- There are slight, steep and very steep slopes.
- There is bench seating located along the route.
- There is a wooden bridge located along the path, with handrails on both sides.
- The path finishes when it reaches the Rue Du Moulin.
East Reservoir Path
- The East Reservoir Path is approximately 766m.
- To reach the East Reservoir Path, there is a footpath that runs alongside Rue du Moulin.
- Follow the footpath for approximately 170m.
- The surface of the footpath is tarmac.
- There is a swing gate located off Rue Du Moulin.
- The gate is 100cm wide.
- The gate gives access back onto the reservoir path.
- The route runs along the east shore of the reservoir in a northerly direction.
- The surface of the paths are uneven.
- There may be roots and stones located on the paths.
- There are slight, steep and very steep slopes.
- There is bench seating located along the route.
- The path finishes when it reaches Le Neuf Chemin Road.
Le Neuf Chemin
- The route along Le Neuf Chemin, Rue Des Choffins and Rue A L’or footpath is approximately 750m.
- There is a swing gate located at the end of the West Reservoir Path.
- The gate opens both ways and is 100cm in width.
- There is a footpath running alongside Le Neuf Chemin.
- The surface of the footpath is tarmac.
- There is a steep slope running along the path.
- Le Neuf Chemin merges with Rue Des Choffins and then Rue A L'or.
- The footpath leads to the Rue A L'or Car Park.
Rue A L'or to North Car Park
- This section of the route begins in the car park off Rue A L'or.
- There is an unsurfaced path leading from the car park to the walkway across the dam, which is where the walk continues.
- The walkway surface is concrete.
- The dam is approximately 230m long.
- There are steps either side of the raised central section of the dam.
- There are 8 steps on either side of this central section.
- The steps are medium height with handrails on both sides.
- After reaching the end of the dam, there is a viewing area, and a path leading to the starting point, the car park off Rue des Annevilles.
