Getting Here
- The nearest train station is Stratford-upon-Avon
- There are bus stops at the top end of Wood Street, opposite Rother Street Car Park.
- The bus stops are either side of the road with bus routes to serving all parts of Stratford-upon-Avon and district.
- There is a taxi rank at the top of Wood Street adjacent to the Rother Street Car Park.
Parking
- BLUE BADGE PARKING
- There is no Blue Badge parking along Wood Street.
- Wood Street has double yellow lines either side of the street.
- PUBLIC CAR PARK
- There are 4 public car parks within walking distance of Wood Street these are ;

- There are Blue Badge parking bays located within Rother Street Public car park.
- These space measure 400cm wide x 498cm in depth.
- Rother Street car park is closed for public access on Fridays and Saturdays due to the market using the car park.

- There is no on street parking allowed along the length of Wood Street.
Wood Street Overview
- Wood Street has traffic flowing in both directions along the whole length of the street.
- There are busy junctions at both ends of the street.
- The street has a very slight gradient with the pathways being a mixture of concrete paving and block paving. Some stores have advertising boards close to the building line.
- There is access from Wood Street into Bell Court.
- There are pathways leading off Wood Street onto Bards Walk, Cook's Alley and Meer Street.
Wood Street / Rother Street / Windsor Street / Greenhill Street Junction
- There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at all crossing points at the junction.
- There are central reservations with tactile paving to the centre with dropped kerbs.
Wood Street / Bell Court Entrance
- Access to Bell Court can be gained from Wood Street.
- There is a zebra crossing halfway up Wood Street.
- There are dropped kerbs with tactile paving at the crossing.
- The crossing has flashing beacon lights.
- Access to Bell Court is opposite the crossing.
Five Way Junction Bridge Street, High Street, Wood Street, Henley Street and Union Street Crossings
- At the centre of the town is a busy junction where five of the main roads connect. Traffic is busy in this area at all times (shown in photographs 1-4).
- From the top of Bridge Street, clockwise, are the junction with High Street, junction with Wood Street, pedestrianised junction with Henley Street, junction with Union Street and the controlled crossing across Bridge Street.
- The High Street junction has dropped kerbs each side in contrasting colours but no tactile warnings. There are written instructions on the roadway indicating the direction of the traffic and a central reservation (shown in photographs 5 and 6).
- The Wood Street junction is very busy as it is the main bus route out of the town. Again, there are contrast colour dropped kerbs but no tactile warnings. There are written instructions on the roadway indicating the direction of the traffic and a central reservation (shown in photographs 7-10).
- The Henley Street pedestrianised junction is usually traffic free but does have delivery vehicles crossing at sometimes of the day. There are dropped kerbs with no tactile warnings and automatic bollards to control the traffic (shown in photographs 11-13).
- Union Street junction has a block paved vehicle crossing table to give priority to pedestrians and to slow traffic (shown in photographs 14-16).
- Bridge Street has a pelican controlled crossing with tactile warnings, central reservation, audible and visual indicators and rotating tactile cones on the control boxes (shown in photographs 17-20).
Public Toilets
- There are no public toilets available along Wood Street.
- There are public toilets available in Bell Court.
- These can be accessed via the entrance to Bell Court from Wood Street.
- The accessible toilet and standard toilets are free to use.
- There are public toilets available to the front of the Windsor Street car park. These can be accessed by turning right onto Windsor Street at the main juction with Rother Street.
- A RADAR key is required for use of the accessible toilet.
- There is a 20p charge for use of the standard toilets.
