From Bungay Buttercross turn right and follow St Mary's Street to Trinity Street

  • The surface of the pathway is block paving.

Turn left onto Bridge Street

  • The surface is now concrete.

  • Ahead, cross to the opposite side of Bridge street.
  • There are dropped kerbs without tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
  • After the bridge continue a short distance before turning right to Falcon Lane.
  • The surface of the crossing is tarmac.
  • There is a small area of block paving at the dropped kerb.
  • The crossing is not level and the road slopes down to the right.
  • Turn right after crossing and continue down Bridge Street.
  • The surface of the pathway is concrete with areas of cobbles.
  • It is uneven in places.
  • The pathway is on a steep decline towards the Chequers Inn before leveling off becoming an easy incline as you approach the bridge.
  • Ahead, cross Nethergate Street.
  • There are dropped kerbs without tactile paving on both sides of the crossing.
  • The surface of the crossing is tarmac.
  • The surface of the pathway is now uneven block paving for a short distance before becoming concrete again as you approach the Chequers Inn.
  • There are a number of drainage gullies located on the pathway.
  • As you approach the bridge the surface becomes block paving before becoming tarmac as you cross the bridge.
  • The bridge is on a moderate slope.

Turn right onto Falcon Lane

  • The crossing has a dropped kerb on the near side with no kerb on the far side.
  • There is no tactile paving on either side.
  • The surface of the crossing is tarmac.
  • After the crossing the surface of the road is rough tarmac.
  • It is uneven in places.
  • The road is on an easy incline leading up to the gate to the riverside pathway.
  • Just before the gate the pathway becomes compacted earth.

Follow Riverside pathway

  • The entrance to the the Riverside pathway is comprised of two gates.
  • A kissing gate is located to the right and opens both ways.
  • The opening of the gate is 100cm.
  • The maneuvering area within the kissing gate is 115cm x 170cm.
  • The gate to the left is padlocked and can be opened by radar key.
  • The gate is heavy, opens both ways and is 105cm wide.
  • The Riverside walk is made up of compacted earth and grass.
  • It is very uneven in places.
  • Seating is located just off the pathway next to the river.
  • A number of fishing pegs are located along the riverside some of these have been enlarged and widened to make them more accessible.

Turn right over River Waveney crossing

  • The gate to access the bridge is on a catch.
  • There is a moderate slope leading up to the bridge.
  • The gate is heavy, opens towards you and is 148cm wide.
  • There is a single shallow step immediately after the gate and on exiting the bridge.
  • The surface of the bridge is wooden slats.
  • The surface after the bridge is loose chippings becoming rough tarmac outside the Riverside Centre.
  • The are a set of bollards outside the Riverside Centre, they are set 100cm apart.
  • There is an accessible toilet located at the end of the Riverside Centre.
  • It is accessed via radar key.
  • The access road from the Riverside Centre leading towards Staithe Road has a number of speed bumps located along it.

Turn right onto Staithe Road

  • There is no pathway for the first section of Staithe Road.
  • The surface of the pathway is tarmac with areas of rough tarmac.
  • It is uneven in places.
  • There is a short section of pathway with dropped kerbs at each end.
  • The pathway is on a moderate incline towards Trinity Gardens.
  • Ahead, cross Trinity Gardens.
  • The crossing has dropped kerbs without tactile paving on on both sides.
  • The surface of the crossing is rough tarmac.
  • An area of tactile paving is located on the pathway after the crossing.

Turn right onto Trinity Street

  • The surface of the pathway is smooth tarmac.
  • It is uneven in places.
  • Holy Trinity Church is located on the right side of the pathway.
  • There is a sign located on the pathway.
  • The access under the sign narrows to 90cm.

Turn left through the grounds of St Mary's Church

  • Cross Trinity Street into the church grounds.
  • The surface of the crossing is cobbled.
  • After the crossing the pathway becomes rough tarmac.
  • It is very uneven places.

Turn Right onto St Mary's Street

  • The surface of the pathway is block paving.
  • A drainage gully runs along the pathway.
  • Ahead, cross Cross Street.
  • There is tactile paving on the near side.
  • The surface of the crossing is tarmac with a cobbled area to the right.
