Parking (Blue Badge Parking - Car Park 15)

Car Park
View
- The car park is located to the right of the Main Entrance.
- The car park is open air/surface.
- The car park surface consists of tarmac.
- There are 11 designated Blue Badge parking bays available.
- The Blue Badge bays are clearly marked and signposted.
- The surveyed Blue Badge parking bay dimensions are 225cm (width) x 477cm (depth).
- The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bays vary in size.
- There is a marked zone to both sides and rear.
- The width of the marked zone is 131cm.
- The nearest designated bay is 64m from the Main Entrance.
- The most accessible route from the Blue Badge parking has steep slopes.
- This route has uneven surfaces.
- There is a dropped kerb with tactile paving from the designated Blue Badge parking.

Charges and Restrictions

- This car park is for Blue Badge holders only.
- Parking is free for all users.
- Blue Badge holders can enter their Blue Badge serial number at a payment machine to receive free parking.
- Payment machines are located at the side of the car park and inside the main building.
- There is not a payment machine with controls at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- Payment can also be made online or using an app.
Car Park 15
- Car Park 15 is a car park for Blue Badge holders only.
- The car park is located off the main access road through the hospital grounds, opposite the Urgent and Emergency Care Centre, and is accessed off the access route signposted for Greenoaks.
- There is an automatic barrier at the car park entrance which was not in use at the time of the survey.
- The car park is signed, but the signage is not visible from the main access road through the hospital grounds.

Car Park 15 to Upper Pavement
- When exiting Car Park 15 follow the pedestrian walkway and you come to a drop down curb with tactile paving.
- The drop down curb has a slight slope upwards.
- When passing the tactile paving there is an uneven surface where new and old concrete paving has been joined (Photograph 4).
Upper Pavement to Greenoaks Crossing Point
- Continue up the concrete pavement which is on a slight slope until you arrive to the Greenoaks crossing point.
Greenoaks Crossing Point
- The crossing point has a drop down curb with tactile paving.
- There is a similar drop down curb going up on the opposite side of the crossing.
Greenoaks Crossing Point to Pedestrian Walkway
- To access Greenoaks turn right at this crossing which will involve walking on the road in order to access the pedestrian footpath.
Pedestrian Walkway to Greenoaks Building Entrance
- Once on the concrete pedestrian walkway follow the pathway around the bend.
- The width of the pathway is 114cm.
- Once the pathways ends, the Greenoaks entrance is located ahead.
- There are bollards along the right hand side of the pathway to prevent vehicles driving onto it.
