Oldfield Centre Car Park

  • The car park is outside Oldfield Centre and is located on a service road called Oakwood Hall Drive.

Oldfield Centre Car Park Drop Down Curb to Staff Car Park 5 Crossing

  • Turn left when leaving the car park, the start of the path has a drop down curb with tactile paving.
  • Follow the path down to the end, while walking down the path there are drainage covers on the pavement which can cause some issues for wheelchair users as well as impaired walkers. (Photograph 3)
  • The path is at a slight slope going downhill to the crossing.

Staff Car Park 5 Crossing

  • The crossing point has a drop down kerb with tactile paving.
  • There is a similar dropped kerb with tactile paving on the other side of the crossing.

Staff Car Park 5 Crossing Point to Moorgate Wing Car Park

  • After the crossing point the footpath starts to level out.
  • Follow the bend in the footpath around to the left.
  • Turn left onto the junction which leads you straight to the Moorgate Wing Car Park.

Moorgate Wing Car Park to Moorgate Wing Entrance

  • As you arrive at the car park there is a drop down curb with tactile paving.
  • From the tactile paving continue straight ahead across the car park to the Moorgate Wing entrance.

Entrance (Moorgate Wing Entrance)

  • This entrance is located on the left side of the hospital.
  • The approach to the entrance has uneven surfaces.
  • The entrance area is clearly signed.
  • There is a canopy or recess which provides weather protection at the entrance.
  • There is step-free access via a slope at the entrance.
  • The slope has a steep gradient.
  • There are double automatic doors.
  • The doors open by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 141cm.
  • There is a small lip on the threshold of the opening.
  • The doors have a high colour contrast.
  • There is a second set of double automatic doors.
  • The doors open by sliding.
  • The width of the opening is 127cm.
  • The doors have a high colour contrast.
  • The entrance gives access to Level E of the hospital.
