Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located on Paris Street in Kolympia, in the north east of the Greek island of Rhodes.
- Although the resort is set on a hillside, there is step-free access to most areas of the resort via level pathways, ramps or lift. There are buggies available outside reception to transport guests around the resort and to the shingly beach.
- This resort has the following facilities: beach access, swimming pools, a water park and restaurants.
- The resort has 399 rooms available. None of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- There are 4 restaurants.
- There are 5 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in reception on level 0 and near to the lift on level -1.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in reception on level 0, near to the lift on level -1, by the main pool and next to the gym.
- Baby change facilities can be found in reception on level 0, near to the lift on level -1 and near the Taverna restaurant.
- There is no medication fridge.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- The guests' mobility scooters can be stored and charged in an area near to reception. They can also be stored and charged in the guests' rooms.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are not allowed in the resort.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.

- The following areas have step-free access via lift: There is step-free access via lift to the gym, the mini market, the main restaurant, the exit door to the pool area, the Kids' Club and all the activities.
- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: There is a slight ramp to access the pool area and the beach.
There is a very small ramp after the threshold to the doorway in the restaurant which leads to the terrace dining area.
There is a slight ramp to access the water park. - The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: There is a steep ramp to access the main entrance at the front of the main building to the resort.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: There is stepped access to the bungalow rooms from levels 1 to 3 and to the tennis court. There is also a small step to access the Italian restaurant near to the beach.
- The width of the gate to the Kids' Club is 185cm. The width of the gate to the children's playground is 100cm.
The width of the door to the gym is 180cm.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the main resort building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 185cm.
- There is a second set of automatic doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 185cm.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- There is a reception desk at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The height of the main reception desk is 107cm.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, bars, restaurants and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs, lift and ramp.
- There is step-free level access from reception to the lobby bar, the lift and to the toilet with adaptations for disabled people.
There is step-free access via lift to the gym, the mini market, the main restaurant, the exit door to the pool, Kids' Club and all the activities. - There is a slight ramp to access the pool area and the beach.
There is a very small ramp after the threshold to the doorway in the restaurant which leads to the terrace dining area.
There is a slight ramp to access the water park. - There is a steep ramp to access the main entrance at the front of the main building to the resort.
- There is stepped access to the bungalow rooms from levels 1 to 3 and to the sports courts. There is also a small step to access the Italian restaurant near to the beach.
- The floors that can be accessed from the lift are -1, 0, 1, 2 and 3.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 140cm x 140cm.
- There are buggies to transport guests around the resort.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 200cm x 212cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 115cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a soap dispenser and a towel dispenser.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- The doorway to the toilet area, which leads to the toilet with adaptations for disabled people is 103cm wide.
There is a fixed handrail on the transfer side of the toilet.
Toilet (Reception)
- The female toilet was surveyed.
- There is also a male toilet in the same location.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
- The doorway into the toilets area is 103cm wide. The doorways into the standard male toilets and standard female toilets are 71cm wide.
