Reception

  • The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
  • The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The height of the reception desk is 114cm. The width of the rear exit doors is 184cm.

Getting Around the Building

  • This building contains a main reception, shops, bars, restaurants and a gym.
  • The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs, lift and ramp.
  • There is step-free level access from the reception lobby to the toilets with adaptations for disabled people, the standard toilets with baby changing facilities, the main buffet restaurant, the lifts and some shops.
    There is step-free access via lift to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people, standard guest rooms, the entertainment area, the activities, some shops, the bars, the gym, the spa and the Kids' Club.
  • There is step-free access via a slight ramp to the main entrance doors.
  • There is stepped access into the gym.
  • The floors that can be accessed from the lift are -1, 0 and 1 in the main building.
  • The lift door opening width is 80cm.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Left Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is Braille, pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 90cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 232cm x 229cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
  • The lateral transfer space is 142cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
  • Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a soap dispenser and a towel dispenser.
  • The toilet has a mirror.
  • There is no shelf in the toilet.
  • The cubicle has a waste bin with lid and a pedal bin.
  • There is one coat hook.
  • The coat hooks for seated users are at the recommended height.
