Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located in the centre of Marmaris town.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, shops, a spa, beach access, a gym, a swimming pool, a splash park and a sauna. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 437 rooms available. 4 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- The resort is on hilly ground with steps and slight to steep ramps to get around. All areas of the resort have step-free access via ramps and internal lifts overcoming the steps.
- There are 4 restaurants.
- There are 5 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- There are shops.
- All shops have step-free access.
- Some of the shops have door widths over 75cm.
- None of the shops have room to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, step-free standard toilets, standard toilets and standard changing rooms.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found on the ground floor of the main hotel building, within the lobby.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found on the ground floor of the main hotel building within the lobby, at all restaurants, at the Relax Pool Bar, at the Seaside Bar and within the gym and spa changing rooms.
- Baby change facilities can be found on the lower ground floor of the main hotel building, within the buffet restaurant female toilets.
- The resort has the following available: a panic alarm.
- There is no medication fridge.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- The resort does not have a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Mobility scooters can be stored and charged within the main hotel lobby.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are not allowed in the resort.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.

Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located to the right of the building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is steep, over 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going up.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which open towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 99cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
- There is also a stepped entrance available, this entrance can be used to bypass the steps.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- Lighting levels are good at this reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are tables, armchairs, sofas and stools available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is background noise.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Main Lobby - Transfer Both Sides)
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens by sliding and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 82cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 208cm x 165cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the toilet but they are obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space on the left is 92cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- The lateral transfer space on the right is 79cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the grab rail and the dropdown rail.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the toilet seat.
- There is a push button emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror which has been angled for ease of use.

Toilet (Main Lobby - Male and Female)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There is 1 step to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 75cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is sensor.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
Counter (TUI)
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- Lighting levels are good at this counter.
- There is a counter suitable for a wheelchair user.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are tables and chairs with armrests available in the counter area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the counter area.
- There is background noise.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, a bar and restaurants.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The following areas have step-free level access: the ground floor main lobby area, the ground, first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth floor room corridors of Building C, and the fourth floor room corridor of Building A.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: access to the buffet restaurant on the lower ground floor, access to rooms 1101-1121 on the first floor of Building A, access to rooms 1201-1221 on the second floor of Building A, access to rooms 1301-1321 on the third floor of Building A and access to rooms 1501-1521 on the fifth floor of Building A.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: access to the toilet with adaptations for disabled people and standard toilets on the ground floor of the main building.
- There is hard flooring and low pile carpet.
- Some flooring is shiny and patterned.
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm, with high colour contrast between the walls and floor.
- Lighting levels are low in some areas.
- To overcome the ramp and steps to the room corridors in Building A, guests must use the Building A Lift and not the Centre Lift.
Getting Around the Resort
- The resort is on hilly ground with steps and slight to steep ramps to get around. All areas of the resort have step-free access via ramps and internal lifts overcoming the steps.
- The paths around the resort are made from: concrete, tiles and stone.
- There is a mixture of seating with and without armrests along the pathways.
- All the paths are illuminated.
Lift (Centre)
- The lift is located on the ground floor of the main building, to the rear of the lobby area.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are P, L, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and Braille markings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 89cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 138cm x 162cm.
- Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.
- Lighting levels are low in this lift.
Stairs (Centre)
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are LG, G, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are clearly marked and have a handrail that switches sides.
Lift (Lobby Bar)
- The lift is located on the ground floor of the main hotel building, in the Lobby Bar external seating area.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are G and LG.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and tactile markings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 110cm x 221cm.
- Internally the lift has; a visual floor indicator, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings, a mirror to aid reversing, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and a separate door to exit.
- This lift is used to access the resort grounds from the Lobby Bar.
Lift (Building A)
- The lift is located on the ground floor of the main hotel building, to the left of the main lobby area.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are L, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: Braille markings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 117cm x 127cm.
- Internally the lift has; a visual floor indicator, a mirror to aid reversing, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and an audible announcer.
- Lighting levels are low in this lift.
Lift (Building C)
- The lift is located on the ground floor room corridor of Building C, opposite rooms 2007 and 2008.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: tactile markings, a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 130cm x 146cm.
- Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), a visual floor indicator, tactile markings and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.
Stairs (Building C)
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are G, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are clearly marked and have a handrail on the right going up.
Lift (Building C - Pool Lift)
- The lift is located along the ground floor room corridor of Building C, opposite room 2008 and to the right of the Building C main lift.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are P, L, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings and Braille markings.
- The lift does not have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 89cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 108cm x 142cm.
- Internally the lift has; controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), a visual floor indicator, Braille markings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and a mirror to aid reversing.
- Lighting levels are low in this lift.
