Getting to the Room

The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
From reception there is step free access across the main building lobby, there are automatic doors from the building to the grounds. There is bridge which crosses the main pool. From the bridge the path goes left passing building 5000 and the Medusa and Corali Bars. After the bar take the path to the left which leads to building 3000.
The most accessible route to the room has a steep ramp/slope.
The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are over 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny.
There are club carts available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
The buggies cannot be transferred into from a wheelchair.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
The slope is steep between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
The room door opening is 78cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 23cm high.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).

Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
The following adaptations are available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), adapted wardrobes for seated users, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.
The following adaptations are not available: a lowered spyhole.
The room has a fridge. This can be used to store medication.
The room does not have an emergency alarm.
The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.

Balcony / Terrace View
- There is a terrace. The door is over 75cm wide and has a small threshold.
- The terrace has: a patio table and chairs with armrests.

The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 94cm.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 150cm.
There is hard flooring.
The toilet seat is 47cm from the floor.
There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin.
The taps are lever mixer.
The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
