Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1006)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take one of the lifts in the reception lobby to the first floor. On exiting the lift, take a right and the door to room number 1006 is the first on the left along the room corridor.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 100cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 138cm x 178cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (1006)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 97cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 7cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 115cm.
Ensuite (1006 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 142cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, vertical grab rails at the shower and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
