Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located in Benidorm, on the east coast of Spain.
- The resort has twin hotel buildings set around the lagoon pool and shared facilities. Much of the resort is level, with some steep ramps around the pool area and at the access to the Ocas building.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, swimming pools and restaurants.
- The resort has 783 rooms available. 19 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- There are 2 restaurants.
- There are 5 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in the lobby of the Pelicanos building, in the lobby of the Ocas building and near the Lagoon Pool.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in the lobby of the Pelicanos building, in the lobby of the Ocas building, near the Lagoon Pool and near the In-and-Out bar.
- Baby change facilities can be found within the toilets with adaptations for disabled people in the lobby of the Pelicanos building, in the lobby of the Ocas building and near the Lagoon Pool and in the female toilets at the In-and-Out bar.
- There is a medication fridge available on request.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests cannot use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored in the guests' rooms.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
On-site Facilities
- This resort has the following available; a Kids' Club and a play area/playground. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.

- Activities available at this resort include: water sports, spinning, Pilates, stretching, pool biking and a games room.
- The following areas do not have step-free access: the play room.
Entrance (Pelicanos Building)
- The entrance to the resort is located to the front of the main building.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the resort.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which opens towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 120cm.
- There are single manual doors on both sides of the revolving door.
Reception (Pelicanos Building)
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
Getting Around the Building (Pelicanos)
- This building contains a main reception, bars and restaurants.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The lift door opening width is 80cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 80cm x 138cm.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Pelicanos Builiding - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens by sliding and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are cm x cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 70cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush in the centre of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the toilet include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin and a hand dryer.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a waste bin with lid and a nappy/incontinence items bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
Entrance (Ocas Building)
- The entrance to the building is located along the C. Gerona, on the lower ground of the Ocas building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
- The ramp is steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail that switches sides.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 210cm.
Reception (Ocas Building)
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
Getting Around the Building (Ocas Building)
- This building contains a main reception and restaurants.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The floors that can be accessed from the lift are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
- The lift door opening width is 80cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 80cm x 138cm.
