Getting to (Zela'a)

  • Zela'a restaurant is located on Level 1 of the main building.
  • The most accessible route has a steep ramp/slope.

Entrance

  • The entrance to the restaurant is located on Level 1 of the main building.
  • Access to the restaurant is via lift, for more information see the lift section of the Access Guide (new tab).
  • There is a lift which bypasses the steps.
  • There is step-free level access via lift at the entrance to the restaurant.
  • There are 10+ steps, which have some clear markings, with handrails on both sides.
  • There are manual doors at the entrance, which open towards you.
  • The width of the door opening is 82cm.
  • The doors have a high colour contrast.
  • A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.

Lift

  • The lift is located to the right as you enter the resort via the main entrance to the right of reception.
  • The floors that can be accessed from this lift are G (lobby) and 1 (Zela'a restaurant).
  • This lift is a standard lift.
  • Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 90cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 110cm x 140cm.
  • Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.
  • Lighting levels are low in this lift.
  • There is a small lip in front of the lift doors on both the ground level and level 1.

Restaurant

  • The restaurant has buffet counters.
  • Menus are displayed on the counter.
  • Food served includes: buffet food.
  • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
  • Guests with food allergies can bring their own food.
  • The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and takeaway cutlery.
  • There is no hearing assistance system.
  • There is background noise.
  • All of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm).
  • The flooring inside is hard.
  • The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
  • Lighting levels are good in this area.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.

Seating (Internal)

  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
  • The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests, booths, bench seats and chairs without armrests.
  • The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .
  • The flooring inside is hard.
  • The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
  • There is background noise.
  • Lighting levels are good in this seating area.

Seating (External)

  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There is some space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
  • The seating includes: dining chairs with armrests.
  • The tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction) .

  • There is a raised area which has stepped access.
  • There are multiple an 81cm-85cm wide doors leading out to the external seating areas. There is step free access to some of the external seating.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Male - Zela'a Restaurant - Left Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is no signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 154cm x 153cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space is 65cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on the left transfer side.
  • The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door and the floor.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the grab rail, the dropdown rail and the toilet seat.
  • There is no emergency alarm.

  • The width of the toilet door opening is 154cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are cm x 142cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There are lateral transfer spaces on both sides of the toilet but the left side, as you look at it, is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space on the left is 61cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • The lateral transfer space on the right is 60cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
  • There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).
