Resort Information

  • The resort is located in Potamou, on the eastern region of the island.

  • Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found on the ground floor of the main building, opposite the main restaurant and beside the pavilion pool.
  • Standard toilet facilities can be found on the ground floor of the main building, opposite the main restaurant and beside the ionian breeze pool.
  • Baby change facilities can be found The baby change facilities are located within the toilets that area on the ground floor of the main building, opposite the main restaurant.
  • There is no medication fridge.
  • Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
  • Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.

  • Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.

Reception

  • The following areas have step-free level access: the main reception, the shop, Nymphy Lobby Bar, Main Restaurant, Fiki Aisan Restaurant, Alati Greek Restaurant and Toilets and rooms 121 - 150, 221 - 250, 321 - 350 and 421 - 450.
  • The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: rooms 51 - 70.
  • The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: rooms 01 - 30, 101 - 120, 201 - 220, 301 - 320 and 401 - 420.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • Some flooring is shiny and patterned.
  • The majority of walkway widths are over 180cm, with medium colour contrast between the walls and floor.
  • Lighting levels are low in some areas.

Getting Around the Resort

  • The resort is mostly flat with some slight to steep slopes along the pathways. All areas of the resort are step-free with ramps or slopes that bypass the steps.
  • The paths around the resort are made from: concrete, gravel and stone.
  • There is no seating along the pathways.
  • The majority of the paths are illuminated.

Lift (Main Building)

  • The lift is located on the right side of the resort entrance lobby.
  • The floors that can be accessed from this lift are G, M, 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • This lift is a standard lift.
  • Externally the lift has: a door with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings and Braille markings.
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 90cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 135cm x 105cm.
  • There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.
  • Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, tactile markings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.

Stairs (Main Building)

  • The floors which are accessible by stairs are G, M, 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • There are 15+ steps between floors without resting points (landings).
  • The stairs are clearly marked and have handrails on both sides.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Main Restaurant - Left Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 89cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 214cm x 185cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space is 104cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
  • The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the wash basin (between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm).
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
  • The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door and the floor.
  • The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the dropdown rail and the toilet seat.
  • There is no emergency alarm.
  • The toilet has a mirror.
  • There is no shelf in the toilet.
  • The cubicle has a pedal bin.
  • There are no coat hooks.

Toilet (Main Restaurant)

  • The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 76cm.
  • The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
