Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located in Benidorm, eastern Spain.
- The 526-room resort consists of 23 floors spread over two buildings. It is mostly accessible via step-free level pathways with some slight slopes. There are 4 lifts in each building.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, swimming pools, a splash park and restaurants.
- The resort has 526 rooms available. 4 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- There are 2 restaurants.
- There are 3 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found in reception.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found in reception, on level -1.
- Baby change facilities can be found within the toilet with adaptations for disabled people in reception.
- The resort has the following available: a deaf alert system.
- There is a medication fridge available on request.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests cannot use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Due to health and safety reasons, mobility scooters are not allowed in the hotel.

Entrance

- There is an automatic door at the entrance, which opens towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 92cm.
- There are automatic doors either side of the revolving door.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The height of the reception desk is 119cm. The width of the rear exit door is 80cm.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, bars, restaurants, an indoor pool and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- There is step-free level access to the main entrance doors, the reception lobby, the toilets with adaptations for disabled people, the standard toilets, the lifts and the rear exit door.
There is step-free level access via lift to the pool area, the entertainment area, the main buffet restaurant, the spa, the gym, the indoor pool, some of the activities and the guest rooms. - The floors that can be accessed from the lift are 0 to 29.
- The lift door opening width is 80cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 110cm x 148cm.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 89cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 173cm x 275cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder, a wash basin, a hand dryer and a soap dispenser.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
