Getting to the Room (108)

The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
Exit the reception via the automatic door and veer right. Proceed along the pathway and continue down the 3 ramps and under the tunnel.
Bypass the bridge then continue into the Fuerteventura accommodation block. Room 108 is on the left hand side.
The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 90cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 20cm high.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
The room does have an emergency alarm.
There is hard flooring.

The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 90cm.
There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).

The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 200cm.
Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
