Access Guide
Getting to the Room (4145)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- From the reception desk turn right and proceed through the rear exit doors and down the ramp.
At the bottom of the ramp take a right then left, under the pillar-lined covered walkways. Turn left into 4th block. Continue ahead under the covered walkway, turn right then veer left through the archway.
Turn right into the room corridor, then right again into the small room corridor. The door to room number 4145 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a slight ramp/slope, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (4145)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 86cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 59cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 13cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- There is a small lip at the entrance threshold. The width of the balcony door is 92cm.
Ensuite (4145)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 87cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 137cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
