Getting Around the Resort

  • The resort is mostly flat, however there is a grassy slope to the rear of the outdoor pool area along with a pathway leading to various activities.

  • The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the resort, opposite the main road.

  • A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
  • There are identical doors to the left of the one surveyed.

Getting Around the Building

  • This building contains a main reception, a restaurant and a bar.
  • The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via lift and stairs.
  • The following areas have step-free level access: the lobby, reception, restaurant, lounge bar and all bedrooms.
  • The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the children's play room and table tennis area which is accessed via a steep external ramp.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • Some flooring is shiny.
  • The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm, with high colour contrast between the walls and floor.

  • Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 90cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 123cm x 121cm.
  • There are other lifts which vary in size at the same location.

  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 193cm x 151cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
  • The lateral transfer space is 134cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
  • The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
  • There is no dropdown rail.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder and the soap dispenser.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and hand dryer.
