Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located centrally in Ca'n Picafort in the northeast of Majorca.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, a playground and a swimming pool. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 241 rooms available. 5 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- The resort is mostly level with one sloped grassy area and a steep path leading to the table tennis and children's play room.
- There is 1 restaurant.
- There are 2 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: standard toilets and a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found near the entrance to the restaurant.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found near the entrance to the restaurant.
- Baby change facilities can be found near the entrance to the restaurant.
- The resort has the following available: bath mats and a medication fridge.
- There is a medication fridge at the reception.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- The guests' mobility scooters can be stored and charged opposite the reception desk.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.

Getting Around the Resort
- The resort is mostly flat, however there is a grassy slope to the rear of the outdoor pool area along with a pathway leading to various activities.
- The paths around the resort are made from: block paving.
- There is a mixture of seating with and without armrests along the pathways.
- All the paths are illuminated.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the resort, opposite the main road.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the resort.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open both ways.
- The width of the door opening is 148cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
- There are identical doors to the left of the one surveyed.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, a restaurant and a bar.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via lift and stairs.
- The following areas have step-free level access: the lobby, reception, restaurant, lounge bar and all bedrooms.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the children's play room and table tennis area which is accessed via a steep external ramp.
- There is hard flooring.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm, with high colour contrast between the walls and floor.
- Lighting levels are low in some areas.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception has patterned backgrounds which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- Lighting levels are good at this reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.

Lift (Reception Lift)
- The lift is located to the left of the reception desk.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are G, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 123cm x 121cm.
- There are other lifts which vary in size at the same location.
- Internally the lift has; buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, tactile markings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), an audible announcer, a mirror to aid reversing, a visual floor indicator and Braille markings.
- Lighting levels are low in this lift.
- There is another smaller lift to the right of the one surveyed.
Stairs (Reception Staircase)
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are G, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are not clearly marked and have a handrail on the left going up.
- The floor covering for the stairs is short pile carpet.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Restaurant Entrance - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 193cm x 151cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 134cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and hand dryer (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the grab rail.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the toilet seat and the floor.

- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
