Access Guide
Resort Information
- The hotel is located on the coast of the Alcudia region in the north of Majorca.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, beach access, a gym and a swimming pool. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
- The resort has 232 rooms available. 4 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- The main resort building is on level ground with some steps in the pool area and a steep ramp to access the main entrance. The majority of the resort is step-free with internal lifts overcoming the steps.
- There is 1 restaurant.
- There is 1 swimming pool (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: a toilet with some adaptations for disabled people, step-free standard toilets and standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found on level 0 in the reception area.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found on level 0 in the reception area and the lower ground floor of the swimming pool area.
- The resort has the following available: a pool hoist.
- There is a medication fridge available on request.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Mobility scooters can be stored and charged in the reception area.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored in the guests' rooms.
- This resort is aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
Getting Around the Resort
- The main resort building is on level ground with some steps and steep/slight ramps. The majority of the resort is step-free with internal lifts overcoming the steps.
- The paths around the resort are made from: concrete, tiles and wood.
- There are seats with armrests on both sides along the pathways.
- Some of the paths are illuminated.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the hotel.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is steep, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 122cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
- A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.
Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- Lighting levels are good at this reception.
- There is a reception desk suitable for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are armchairs and sofas available in this reception area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the reception area.
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Counter (TUI)
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- Lighting levels are good at this counter.
- There is a counter suitable for a wheelchair user.
- The counter does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- There are chairs with armrests available in the counter area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the counter area.
- There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
Seating (Library)
- Access into the seating area is via steps.
- There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The seating includes: chairs with armrests.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- There is no (or very little) background noise.
- Lighting levels are good in this seating area.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level 0 - Reception - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 91cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 142cm x 200cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 80cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the wash basin (between 72cm - 74cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and hand dryer (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the grab rail and the dropdown rail.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the floor and the toilet seat.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is a shelf but it is located where it is not reachable for seated and standing users.

Toilet (Reception)
- The male standard toilet was surveyed.
- There is also a female toilet in the same location.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 66cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, bars, a restaurant and a gym.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- The following areas have step-free level access: all areas.
- There is hard flooring and low pile carpet.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- The majority of walkway widths are between 120cm and 180cm, with high colour contrast between the walls and floor.
- Lighting levels are low in some areas.
Lift
- The lift is located to the right from the hotel entrance.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm).
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 80cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 93cm x 126cm.
- Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, tactile markings, buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings and a visual floor indicator.
- Lighting levels are low in this lift.
Stairs
- The floors which are accessible by stairs are 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4.
- There are 15+ steps between floors with resting points (landings).
- The stairs are not clearly marked and have handrails on both sides.
- There are two additional set of stairs on either side of the hotel. Some stairs do not have handrails both sides.
