Access Guide
Introduction
- James Lighthill House is divided into two buildings: the main building and the lodge. To access the lodge and the rear of the main building it is necessary to enter the main building and proceed to enter the courtyard to its rear - which is only possible via steps.
- There is also a separate building containing security and a launderette in front of the main building's entrance.
Getting Here

By Road
View
- Penton Rise is accessed off the Pentonville Road (A501). It is just outside, but right on the edge, of the Congestion Zone.
- The building has its own open air car park, for contractors. It can also be used for sort term parking for residents and visitors on request.

View
- Penton Rise stops PM and PG are served by buses 30, 73, 205, 214, 476, N73 and N205.

By Train

- The nearest railway stations are King's Cross and St Pancras International.

- The nearest underground station is King's Cross St Pancras, on the Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria lines.

- There is no step free access to the lodge or the main building as there entrances are located off the courtyard. However within each of the building there are no areas that have to be overcome by steps.
- The flooring in the lodge as seen in photographs 3 & 4 is very shiny making it particularly difficult to notice any wet area.
- This may make slipping a potential hazard.
