About University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust

University Hospital Southampton is a large teaching hospital located on the south coast of England. We provide services to 1.9 million people living in Southampton, the New Forest, Eastleigh and Test Valley, as well as providing care for the residents of the Isle of Wight for many services.

In addition to being the region’s major trauma centre with both adult and children’s intensive care units, we provide specialist services for neurosciences, cardiac and cancer care to more than 3.7 million people in central southern England and the Channel Islands.

The Trust is also a major centre for teaching and research in association with the University of Southampton and partners including the Medical Research Council and Wellcome Trust.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our hospitals become fully accessible to all and, as part of this process, in early 2019 we opened an accredited Changing Places toilet.

We have also recently teamed up with AccessAble to produce a series of accessibility guides for each of our hospitals.
