Introduction

  • Services / facilities within the building include standard and accessible self-catered accommodation.
  • Jarratt Hall is in the University of Birmingham’s Selly Oak Village and has ensuite self-catered accommodation for 700 students with 6 flats adapted for students with a disability.
  • There is a different post code as part of the address, depending on which block of flats.
    B29 6FQ is the postcode for flats 1-87 and B29 6FG is the postcode for flats 88-129.

Getting Here

  • By Road View
    • Jarratt Hall is located South of the University’s Edgbaston Campus; it’s not necessary to go onto campus to get to Jarratt Hall, which is at 55 Dale Road and accessed from Aston Webb Boulevard (the A38). This venue is located off Aston Webb Boulevard (A38) but can only be accessed by turning left into it, you cannot turn right. There is a roundabout approximately 400 meters from the venues turning you can use if you are coming towards the venue from the east.
    • Jarratt Hall has Blue Badge holder parking adjacent, with limited staff permit holder parking.
      The nearest public car park is located at the North East Car Park off Pritchatts Road at B15 2SA which is 1 mile and a 21 minute walk from Jarratt Hall, though limited on-street parking may be available closer than this.
  • By Bus View
    • NxBus 1A or 76 buses runs along Aston Webb Boulevard and stops near the University Grange Road entrance and Bournbrook Pavilion. This is a walk of 0.2 miles and around 3 minutes along a generally level route. Bus stop ID: nwmwgpwd
  • By Train View
    • From Birmingham New Street Station around six trains an hour call at University Station and take 8 - 10 minutes. The final destinations for trains are Bromsgrove, Redditch, Hereford and Cardiff Central. Jarratt Hall is a 12 minute walk, 0.5 miles from University Station along new fosse way and Aston Webb boulevard, or along through campus (some sections at an extended gradient).
      Selly Oak train station is 0.4 mile, and a 9 minute walk on a generally level route.
