Access To
- Worsley Chemical Library is located in the East wing of the Chemistry building, to the left of the Estates Assistants Desk after you enter the building, via the main entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, shiny flooring and patterned flooring.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into Worsley Chemical Library.
- There are double automatic doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 136cm.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There are security barriers after you enter, with a width of 107cm.
Library
- There is step-free level access throughout the library.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest in the seating area.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Seating available in the library includes: chairs with armrests, chairs without armrests, armchairs and sofas.
- Furniture available in the library includes: tables, coffee tables and height adjustable tables.
- Some chairs and tables are fixed.
- Some surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of some surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- The height of the touchscreen display ranges from 117cm to 123cm from the floor.
