Overview

Getting Inside

  • The approach to the building is step-free level access.
  • Mathematics Pavilion C has three entrances. The most accessible entrance is at the front of the building and provides step-free access via a very easy ramp. The doors at the car park entrance are manual. The door at the rear entrance on the ground is manual. The door at the rear entrance on the first floor is manual.
  • The car park entrance is signed as Pavilion C. The rear entrance on the ground floor via Pavilion A is signed as Pavilion C. The rear entrance on the first floor is not signed.
  • The car park entrance provides step-free access via a very easy ramp into the building on the ground floor.
  • The rear entrance on the ground floor via Pavilion A is step-free level access. The rear entrance on the first floor is step-free level access.

Getting Around

  • There is step-free level access throughout the building on all floors.
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are carpeted.
  • The common room on the ground floor can be used as a resting area with chairs with armrests only.
  • Wall mounted wayfinding signage is provided throughout the building.
  • There are manual doors in some corridors.

  • The lift has a level manoeuvring space in front of it for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • The external lift control buttons have tactile markings and a high visual contrast.
