Getting Inside

There are also doors connecting the building to the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows on the ground and first floors.
The ground floor link entrance from the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows has level access and is automatic. - The entrances are not signed.
- The external main entrance can be accessed via a steep ramp which bypasses a step.
The link entrance on the ground floor from the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows is automatic and has level access to reach it within the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows. - The first floor can only be accessed step-free via the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows link.
The door linking the two buildings on the first floor is manual and only has a width of 73cm.
Getting Around
- There is step-free access throughout the entirety of the ground floor and via the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows much of the first floor.
- There are three steps along the corridor leading to room 31 on the first floor.
After overcoming the three steps mentioned above there is a section of eight steps that are part of the main staircase that must be overcome to reach rooms 37, 38a, 38B, 53A and 53B.
There is also an additional step which must be overcome to reach rooms 30 and 36. - Step-free access to the first floor and rooms 32A, 32B, 33, 34 and the female toilet is only available via the Institute of Energy and Environmental Flows lift.
The door linking the two building on the first floor has a width of 73cm.
Stepped level changes are enroute to all other first floor areas. - The majority of the flooring in the building is carpeted.
Flooring within the tea room is hard and smooth and can appear shiny. - Seating is available in the ground floor entrance foyer and the tea room.
