Access To (Café)

  • The Café is located on the Second Floor of the Judge Business School, at the front of the building, in the main atrium. It is immediately to the left as you exit the South Lift.

  • The most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift and shiny flooring.
  • There is no signage on or near the entrance.
  • There is step-free level access to enter the café.

Eating and Drinking (Café)

  • Location and Service View
    • The Café is located on the Second Floor of the Judge Business School, at the front of the building, in the main atrium.
    • The most accessible route has step-free level access and a lift.
    • This area has a counter where food and drink can be ordered, a self service counter, staff who can provide assistance with ordering, designated seating and numerous seating options.
    • Full table service is available on request only.
    • Menus are wall-mounted, available on a board, online, displayed on the counter and available on a mobile phone app.
    • The following dietary requirements can be catered for: gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, nut allergy, vegetarian and vegan.
    • The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and takeaway cutlery.
    • There is not a hearing assistance system.
  • Order and Payment View
    • The payment counter was surveyed.
    • The counter is located on the left hand side of the café, near the South Lift and Stairs.
    • There is step-free level access to the counter.
    • The height of the counter is 93cm.
    • The counter has windows which may affect the ability of someone to lip read.
  • Seating Area View
    • There is step-free level access throughout the majority of areas.
    • The following areas have stepped access: a small area in the centre of the café seating area, with armchairs and coffee tables.
    • There is some room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
    • There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
    • The flooring is shiny.
    • The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
    • Seating available in this area includes: chairs without armrests, armchairs, benches and high stools.
    • Furniture available in this area includes: tables, coffee tables, high tables and long tables.
    • Some chairs are fixed.
    • The surface height of some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
    • The clear height under some of the tables is suitable for wheelchair users.
    • There is background noise in this area which varies depending on the time of day.
    • Lighting levels vary due to the size of the space.
    • Lighting levels vary depending on the date and time, due to the amount of natural light in the area.
