Getting Inside

  • The Department of Veterinary Medicine (Hospital Wing) has one useable entrance, the main entrance. All other entrances are for clinical staff only, with restricted access to everyone else. The Main Entrance provides step-free level access to all non-clinical areas of the building. It has a push-pad activated single automatic door to enter the Reception and waiting area, followed by a single manual door to access the rest of the building from here.

Getting Around

  • This is a single-storey building, with step-free level access throughout all non-clinical areas (clinical areas could not be surveyed).
  • Floor surfaces along all circulation routes are hard and smooth, with a shiny vinyl, laminate or tiled finish.
  • There is a resting area at Reception with a mixture of seating.
  • Overhead and wall-mounted wayfinding signage is provided in some areas.
  • There is one manual door between the Reception/waiting area and the remaining non-clinical areas of the building (this is the second set of doors at the main entrance. There are no further manual doors in any circulation areas of the non-clinical part of the building.
