Access To
- Lecture Theatre 2 - GW22 is located on the ground floor of the William S Gates building, on the right after the main entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access and patterned flooring.
- There is written text signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access into Lecture Theatre 2 - GW22.
- There are double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 175cm.
- The doors have a low visual contrast.
- There are a second set of double manual doors which open towards you.
- The width of the opening is 180cm.
- The second set of doors have a high visual contrast.
- There is also stepped access to the rear of the lecture theatre from the first floor.
Teaching
- This is a lecture theatre.
- There is step-free level access to the speaker’s area and front row only.
- The following areas have stepped access: all areas except the speaker's area and the front row.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Some flooring is shiny.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a low visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There is tiered seating with no handrails at the steps.
- There is a designated space for a wheelchair user.
- The designated space for a wheelchair user is located at the front.
- There is step-free level access to the designated space surveyed.
- Companions sit next to you.
- There is not space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- All tables and some chairs are fixed.
- The speaker's desk/table is height adjustable.

- There are no tables suitable for wheelchair users.
