Getting Here (Queen Elizabeth Campus)

  • By Road View
    • The Queen Elizabeth Teaching and Learning Centre is located on the site of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, to the west of Glasgow city centre, just off the M8.
      From East or West leave the M8 motorway at Junction 25. Follow signs for Clyde Tunnel (A739) for ¾ mile, Then follow signs for South Glasgow University Hospital. Turn left into Govan Road. The hospital is on the left. From the A82 and the north go through the Clyde Tunnel (A739) and follow the signs for the hospital.
    • Parking at the hospital campus is free. There is a four hour maximum stay in operation Monday to Friday (7.30am – 4pm). The main visitor car park areas are in two multi storey car parks and a large surface level car park, identified on site as P1, P2 and P3.
      Disabled parking spaces are available on the ground floor of the multi-storey car parks.
      There are designated bays for disabled staff, students and visitors across the campus car parks. Please see University of Glasgow parking notes for further details.
  • By Bus View
    • Buchanan bus station is the main bus terminus in Glasgow for inter city coach services.
      First Group bus service 90 serves the hospital campus.
  • By Train View
    • The nearest accessible train station is Hillington East to the south west of the hospital campus approximately 1.5 miles away (30 minutes) via Ladykirk Drive and the A739. There is level or ramped access to the platforms and ramp access for trains. There is an induction loop at the booking office.
      Cardonald station is closer but only has ramped access to one platform.
  • By Underground View
    • The nearest underground station is Govan to the east of the hospital campus. The station has lift access to platforms.
      Only fold up wheelchairs are permitted on trains.
