Access Guide
Access To
- Classroom 114 and 115 is located on floor 1 of Bounty House, straight ahead, at the far end of the corridor and on the right as you exit the lift.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, a lift, manual doors, doors permanently held open and shiny flooring.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter Classroom 114 and 115.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 76cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- There are two identical doors to enter the room, signed as 'Classroom 114' and 'Classroom 115'.
These entrances will access Classroom 114 and Classroom 115 separately when the partition between the two room spaces is pulled across to divide the rooms.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a manoeuvring space for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are no designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests and riser recliner chairs.
- Furniture available in the room includes: desks.
- The desks are fixed.
- The surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of some surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The height of the speaker's desk/table is 73cm.
- The speaker's desk/table is not height adjustable.
- This room has a television screen, a projector screen and a whiteboard.
- Interactive whiteboards are available in both sections of the room, which double as large television screens.
The desks are for staff only.
The whiteboard is in the section that is Classroom 114, and the projector screen is in the section that is Classroom 115 if the space is partitioned.
Classrooms 116-120 are located in the same area of the building, and have very similar specifications to this room described above.
