Access Guide
Access To
- Classrooms 220-222 are located on floor 2 of Bounty House, straight ahead along the corridor and on the right as you exit the lift.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors, doors permanently held open and shiny flooring.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter Classrooms 220-222.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 76cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- This is a large teaching room with two moveable partition walls, and so can be set up as one, two or three rooms (Classroom 220, Classroom 221 and Classroom 222).
There is one door into each sub-room, so three doors in total to access the space. All have identical specifications.
Teaching
- This is a teaching room.
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- Floor coverings are even with no trip hazards.
- The walls and floor have a high visual contrast.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey, with unshaded light sources.
- Lighting levels are adjustable.
- There are designated spaces for wheelchair users.
- The designated spaces for wheelchair users are located at the front and rear or the space (when set up as a single large room).
- There is step-free level access to the designated space surveyed.
- Companions sit next to you, behind you and in front of you.
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- Seating available in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
- Furniture available in the room includes: desks.
- The desks are fixed.
- The surface heights are suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of some surfaces is suitable for wheelchair users.
- The height of the speaker's desk/table is 73cm.
- The speaker's desk/table is not height adjustable.
- This room has a television screen and a projector screen.
- When one or more of the partitions are retracted, lighting levels are adjustable. If the room is split into three individual rooms, lighting levels are adjustable only in Classroom 222.
There are interactive whiteboards in all three parts of the space, which double as large television screens.
The projector screen is located in the part of the area that is Classroom 222.
All speaker's desks are for staff only. The speaker's desks in Classrooms 220 and 221 have a clear underside space of 68cm.
Classrooms 223-225 are located adjacent to this space, and have a similar setup, with two moveable partitions.
