Access Guide
Access To (Multi Faith Space)
- The Multi Faith Space is located within the east wing of the Dreadnought Building on the ground floor, straight ahead, to the left and then to the right as you enter the building through the front entrance.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, manual doors, doors permanently held open and narrow walkways.
- There is written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free access via ramp to enter the Multi Faith Space.
- The ramp has a steep gradient.
- The ramp is under 75cm wide with no handrails.
- The ramp is located at the threshold of the door.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 73cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- The Multi Faith Space is split into separate male and female areas, separated by a partition curtain.
Both areas have their own access door, with identical specifications to one another.
Multi Faith Space
- There is step-free level access throughout the room.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is space for an assistance dog to rest.
- The flooring consists of deep pile carpet which is patterned.
- The walls and floor visual contrast varies between low and high.
- Furniture available in the room includes: high tables.
- The surface heights are not suitable for wheelchair users.
- The clear underside space of the surfaces is not suitable for wheelchair users.
- There is not a hearing assistance system.
- There is no (or very little) background noise in this room.
- Lighting levels were even at the time of the survey.
- There is one chair with armrests on both sides in the male section of the space.
Access To (Ablutions)
- The ablutions are located within the Sports Deck Gym changing area - in the corridor to the east of the Dreadnought Building on the basement floor, to the left and left again as you exit the east lift.

- The most accessible route has step-free level access, uneven surfaces, manual doors, doors permanently held open and narrow walkways.
- There is pictorial, written text and numbered signage on or near the entrance.
- There is step-free level access to enter the ablutions.
- There is a single manual door which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 80cm.
- The door has a high visual contrast.
- The doors to the male and female ablutions have identical specifications.

Changing Area
View
- The male changing area was surveyed.
- Facilities in this area include: toilets, showers, a changing bench and lockers.
- There are lockers at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- Lighting levels were uneven at the time of the survey, with pools of light and shade and unshaded light sources.
- The toilets and showers are located through separate doors to the changing benches and lockers, but also off the corridor to the east of the Dreadnought Building on the basement floor.
These doors all have identical specifications.

Toilet Facilities

- There is step-free level access to the toilet facilities.
- There are ambulant toilet facilities available.
- The ambulant cubicles have horizontal grab rails on both sides.
- There is a wash basin, a wall mounted soap dispenser and a hand dryer available.
- The wash basin has a push tap.

Shower Facilities

- There is step-free level access to the shower facilities.
- There is a fixed height shower head.
- The shower controls are twist turn mixer.
- There is no shower seat.
- Islamic Wudu washing facilities are located within each of the standard shower cubicles.
